“Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God” NKJV

Hello, my name is Nancy Drewry from Dover, Arkansas where my husband Kenny and I are produce farmers and living examples of the gospel to a community in need of Jesus Christ.

I grew up in Reseda, California the youngest of seven children. My dad was a carpenter and mom stayed at home. I was just starting high school when my dad retired, and we moved to Arkansas. The school I left was bigger than the small town I moved to. From the start I definitely did not fit in to my new surroundings, but God had a plan. We were not a church family growing up.

One year later I started work in a bowling alley. There was this skinny kid with big glasses that worked there. He couldn’t take his eyes off of me and ran smack into a wall the first day he saw me. Kenny is his name and we have been married for 36 years. We have three children, Crissy, Angie and Tiffany.

When our daughter Angie was born she had severe health issues, the doctors were not sure she would live. I turned to God in prayer. He answered my prayer and Angie is today serving in ministry.

When Angie was still a baby, recovering from illness, my heart was telling me to go to church. I knew we needed to get the kids involved in Sunday School. We were being drawn to Jesus.

While searching for a relationship with Jesus I left the kids with Kenny going for a drive. No direction in mind. I was drawn on that Monday night to a nearby church. When I arrived the church door was unlocked, I went in. The Cross in the front of the church was lit. There, all alone Jesus Christ was revealed to me as my King and Lord. I accepted Him and my life was changed forever.

I left a note in the church that I was there and received Christ. I left the church never having met anyone except the presence of Jesus Christ.

The following Sunday we returned to find the pastor and explain what happened to me. He was very surprised, “We never leave that door open and the lighted Cross is only on during our church services.” Something happened here that night and it was supernatural.

Right after this experience we decided to attend a church. Which one was the question? We returned to that church and within two weeks there were issues internally and the church split. This happened a few more times. When we attended a church, issues arose, and the church closed.

Did not know it at the time, but looking back, Satan was not happy with our building a relationship with Jesus and did everything he could to drive us away from joining a church.

Through our years as a married couple we have encountered challenges and family struggles, but God has always been faithful to provide. He has never left us. We learned Jesus was the only constant we could depend on. Even today going through the COVID-19 pandemic it is all about Jesus. Every day we stand for Him and He is faithful in return.

The Lord has been so good during our times of challenge. We’ve learned to trust, like Proverbs 3;5-6, we don’t lean to our own understanding, He directs us, and life is much easier this way!

We grow produce and sell it locally. We established our farm “Ha-Makom” which means “The Place” in Hebrew. We set up a State Certified Kitchen where we process and sell fresh baked goods as well as packaged fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday we serve a home cooked breakfast where people come from all over to make themselves at home enjoying the love and warmth of The Lord. We built a huge outdoor living room that is multipurpose and can be used for weddings or as a chapel for prayer gatherings.

Saturday is a special time for us to reach the unreachable for Christ. We feed people while sprinkling in Jesus. It’s on our signs, it’s in our hearts and as we communicate it’s on our lips.

As for me and my house, we serve The Lord as our hearts yield to Holy Spirit. We are so thankful for what Jesus has Blessed us with. We love to share our property with others and make them feel welcomed and loved with the love of Christ.

We want everyone who walks on our land to have an opportunity to know my Jesus, My Christ, and My Lord. And now everyone will see the large beautiful Cross — thank you Pastors Bill and Carol and your readers for blessing us with this Cross to welcome all who come to partake of our produce.

My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-8 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things” NKJV

Prayer: Father thank you that when things look the worst, Jesus is at His best. He waits for us to acknowledge Him as Lord of Lords and King of Kings in our lives. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
