Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:5
“But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” NKJV

Hello, my name is Pastor Alpheus with Agape Full Gospel Church in Kwa Latha, South Africa, near Greytown. I grew up the oldest of four children, in the Greytown, South Africa area. My dad was in the milk business. He worked for Clover Milk Company in their processing plant. Mom was with us growing up at home. Dad was a drunkard and left us to fend for ourselves. Mom took us to church and held the family together.

When I was 17 years old my world was rocked when our preacher introduced me to Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me” NKJV

My life was never the same. I testified to the love of Jesus everywhere I went. I was on a path to ministry for Jesus. At age 22 I married Rosetta and one year later our first child was born. At age 25 I began interpreting for a Norwegian Evangelist from Greytown, South Africa. Every three months we set up a tent revival that lasted three weeks. My Bible education was daily on the job training.

When we were not ministering in our tent we were in schools, hospitals and anywhere people would listen. We introduced them to the Jesus Christ way of life.

Twenty-four years ago, we started this church in the home of an older church member. Eventually she moved to live with relatives, and we bought her house. It is now where our church stands as we have upgraded through the years. Our most recent upgrade is this Cross you brought us Pastor Bill. Thank you.

The Lord has been good to me through the years with miracles, visions and dreams. When we are in prayer things happen. Healings take place, relationships are restored and people from all walks in life are set free to serve the Lord.

I had a vision some years ago about a church several towns over. We didn’t know much about them then and my vision showed the church being torn apart by interior strife. I prayed about what to do and heard the Lord say go and pray for them. I did. I introduced myself and brought all parties together. They healed their differences and are still going strong today.

The Cross to me means Jesus Christ is my Savior. He died for me to wash away my sins. As the Son of God, He has made a way for me in heaven. And He will do the same for you.

This Cross today is established to challenge all who walk or drive by to wake up — The Lord is about to come, and they need to be right with Him. This is His house come here and get right with Jesus.

Prayer: Father thank you for the creative way You train and implement Your Evangelists — one event at a time. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
