Scripture: Psalm 139:13-14a
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works” NKJV

Hello, my name is Pastor T. J., Pastor of Faith Ministries, Coldstream Life Centre, Chinhoyi Zimbabwe. I was born in Mbare, the oldest suburb of the Capital City of Harare in Zimbabwe. I am the first born of five children. Growing up my dad was a Glazier (glass installer) while mom was a seamstress making and selling clothing from home to make extra money for us.

Growing up we were a dedicated church family. My dad and mom loved the Lord and became Pastors. I was the church keyboard player starting at age 10. I was taught the Christian life but it wasn’t until an evangelist came to town and I heard his story — that was my story.

The evangelist was a Pastors kid. He preached how his life was a drift as he was riding along with everyone else’s Christianity. He had to make a stand for Jesus Christ. It was then the Lord began to use him. That was my life — it was my story. There I was playing the keyboard in church acting like a Christian. It was time to receive Jesus Christ and become a real Christian — a Christ follower.

My life was structured in Christianity, so it was a revelation to me when I got on fire for Jesus and wanted more of Him. I wanted to go where He said and do what He wanted. At the age of fourteen, I made this commitment to follow Christ and I was working out my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I owned it!

After school, I started off as a satellite installer in 2000. Then in 2002 trauma struck. I was riding in a car with my two best friends when we were struck. Both of my friends did not survive. Life took on a whole new meaning for me. More of an urgency. If a life could be snuffed out so quickly I needed to tell more people about Jesus so they would be prepared for such a moment.

By this time my calling was becoming clear and it would be church leadership. I went to Bible School in preparation and also served in Youth Leadership. I joined a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Team in 2006 for 9 months in Mozambique. When I returned I served at our loca;l church in Mbare as a caretaker.

2007 I met Gina and we were a perfect match. The Lord was preparing my every step for His Kingdom work. Today we have one girl, Shalom 5 and one boy, Carmiel 7.

2010 we were leading our first church in Mbare where the Lord challenged us and we learned the life of Pastoring as our church grew.

2015 the Lord called us here to Chinhoyi to Pastor and lead the work in an existing church. The Lord has been good as we are Empowering our people to be working Disciples for Jesus Christ. Empowering them to believe in the impossible. Living life larger than they could ever imagine through the Grace of Jesus. Christ

The Lord speaks to me often through dreams and visions. The most prominent was a Dream/vision where I was preaching in front of thousands of young people. I could see them in their school uniforms receiving Christ. That was a few years back and when we came to Chinhoyi it became reality when I spoke to a gathering of the schools here.

Pastor Bill we are always learning what God has for us. We can’t limit him or put Him in a box. His world is so much larger than we can even imagine and we must learn to walk in His world. Everyone has a place in the Kingdom of God. A special specific place. For you it is planting Crosses like no other. For me it is Pastoring and Empowering people to find their full potential. Each of your readers has a place. Some will be prayer warriors, some will be givers, some will be goers. Some will use their musical gifts while others their business skills. But each one will be specifically placed there by God for His purpose. No position is higher than another. We must learn to celebrate our position and do it unto the Lord. Each position is unique unto the Lord.

Each Christian can become a missionary or the salt for God where they are. A light for Jesus no matter where they are planted. Each of us is God designed and His designs are no accident. Enjoy your unique design and live it to its fullest. Welcome to the Kingdom of God!

Prayer: Father thank you for the Unique Design You have for each of us. Give us the desire to seek it. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
