Today’s Author: Pastor Bill

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit”

My name is Lindiwe Ndlovu and I am the Warden (Head Elder) at Christ the King Anglican church in Molweni, South Africa. I grew up on the Wild Coast just south of Durban, South Africa. I was the middle child of five. My mom was home with us while my dad worked for the South African electric company (ESCOM) as a lineman. Mom was a Warden in the local church and made sure we were in Sunday School every week. This is my Testimony:

The Lord gave me a talent to sing and it was used in the church on a regular basis from my early years.

Why HE picked me for the talent I don’t know and it took me sometime to know and understand it and then see the spiritual gift he gave me through this talent.

Singing is my talent but my gift is my ability to connect with people while leading praise and worship. It began as a teenager when leading praise and worship the Holy Spirit came upon me and as I was leading — huge tears began rolling down my cheeks — then one by one everyone in the church was touched by the Holy Spirit and we were all crying. I was just beginning to learn to go deep to connect with the people for Jesus through Praise and Worship.

My gift of connecting with people was expanded a few years later while exercising my talent of singing praise and worship. I saw a vision of a need in the church. I didn’t know that we desperately needed a new floor for the church. So it was strange when that was the vision and the amount of 3,500 Rand was included. Then while I’m singing Praise and Worship a lady also sees the same vision and the Lord placed on her heart to donate an offering for a new floor. She also had no previous knowledge that we desperately needed a new floor. She handed me a check for 3,500 Rand and said, “The Lord gave me a vision of a need for a new floor for the church. He said it would cost 3,500 Rand — here take this check and make sure a new floor is installed. We did!

There are many more examples of this gift in action but one with my daughter is especially interesting. My daughter Sane had a vision at the same time I was leading Praise and Worship about how dilapidated our church front door was. Sane is not a church goer and is not into the things of the Lord. At the same time I had a vision while singing about the door and the need to replace it. Later that day Sane stropped over with a check for the church. The exact amount necessary to replace the front door.

And finally another very interesting part of the gift is when my son Sihle was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. It was at a time I was leading Praise and Worship and I had a vision of his accident and saw him walk away from it.

After Praise and Worship was over the call came in that Sihle was in an accident with his motorcycle — all that was said was please come quickly. When we arrived the motorcycle was no longer recognizable. It was a heap of metal on the road. We feared the worst but held on to the vision. Then out of what seemed like just a mass of debris on the road — there stood Sihle — just as the vision had shown walking toward us.

My favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 2:9
“That I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things” NKJV

The Cross to me is everything — Jesus gave His life for me and you and we are so grateful to have this Cross planted today as a sign to everyone who passes by that we believe in Jesus.

We will never forget you Pastors Bill and Carol — you came to us and planted this Cross on Ash Wednesday. Thank you so very much.

Prayer: Father thank you for using the talent of Lindiwe ministering regularly to others and her Spiritual Gift to exercise as you desire. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
