My name is Pastor Qeda Joseph Cele and I’m called Baba Cele — I Pastor the Maranatha Ministries Church in Ndwedwe, South Africa — this is my testimony:
I had a dream in 1962 that shook my very being and set me on the road to following Jesus. I was suffering for many years with a terrible incurable headache. The search for a cure took to many places to see many forms of healers. I tried medical doctors, herbalists, witch doctors and traditional healers — nothing worked. The headaches were incapacitating and consumed my every day. Pain was a constant companion. I had given up hope.
With all hope gone I had a dream. In the dream I was introduced to a man who could heal me. His name is Jesus. During my dream I felt a bolt of lightning enter my body — I convulsed under the impact. Then I awoke. My headache was completely gone. I realized then and there that I was wasting my life being consumed with the things of this world.
I left everything I owned — everything that was precious to me — to follow Jesus Christ. I learned that I must be saved so I gave my heart to Jesus. I couldn’t stop telling people what Jesus did for me. Then I was baptized — in a few short weeks my life was radically changed. I went to Maranatha Bible School in Newcastle, South Africa and graduated. I could not stop telling people about the love of Jesus. Everyone needs to know that Jesus set me free of pain, saved my soul and became my best friend.
My favorite bible verse is: Philippians 3:13-14
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” NKJV
The planting of this cross represents the cleaning of sins through the Lord Jesus Christ. My desire is to have everyone within the Ndwedwe Area come to know Christ as their personal savior.
Prayer: Father thank you for Pastor Cele and healing his incurable headache through Jesus Christ to impact the area around Ndwedwe for your kingdom. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
