Hello, my name is Pastor Lameck from Christian Marching Church, Gweru, Zimbabwe. I was born in the rural area just north of Gweru, Zimbabwe, the first born of four children. My dad was a Pastor so from the very beginning we were in church every Sunday. Most days during the week too!

Church was a way of life for us but it wasn’t until I was fifteen years old that Jesus became real to me. I started receiving dreams of Jesus and the angels. Jesus would talk with me and tell me that he loved me. I believed. The dreams were so real.

Then my life changed. Dad and mom saw it, my brothers and sisters saw it. In the past, every time I went to the store I always returned with extra change in my pocket just for me. But after my dreams about Jesus I always returned the correct amount. My honesty level improved for all to see.

Then I had a dream about the Holy Spirit. This dream was very real. The Holy Spirit gave me the gift of giving. Immediately 10 percent of everything I received was for others. I asked the Holy Spirit who should receive it. The answer was overwhelming at first. I heard orphans, widows and the poor. I immediately began preaching the word of God and giving money as the Holy Spirit directed. When I didn’t give as directed I didn’t get. But when I gave as directed the blessings flowed.

Then the Lord said, “Begin Christian Marching Church.” I did. At age 15 the same church we are planting this Cross at today was founded. That was 45 years ago!

At age 21 I prayed and asked the Lord for a wife. I was specific in two areas.
1.    A God-fearing woman
2.    A woman who would support my efforts to do the will of the Lord

The Lord provided my wonderful wife Noria who has stood by my side all these years. We have now been married 39 years.

The Lord has been oh so good to us over the years. There have been more miracles than you can imagine. Starting with my wife Noria. She was diagnosed with a serious abdominal problem by several doctors. We went to the mountains to pray about it. The Lord spoke to Noria and told her to pass through a near-by river and wash.

Noria did what she was told. After washing in the river and passing through she went back to the doctors. After many tests, they could not find any problems inside her abdomen.

Four barren woman have come for prayer — they have all received children.

In 2002 we had no place to meet for worship. We prayed and the Lord provided the land where the Cross is standing.

We have been praying for a Cross on our land. You came today and placed it right where we wanted it to stand.

We are now praying the Lord will provide for us to complete our roof on the church. I’m praying before I retire it will be done.

The Cross planted today makes a statement of how Great our God is and that He loves us so much He died for us. What a wonderful Savior we serve.

Prayer: Father thank you for sending Your Holy Spirit to plant spiritual gifts within us for such a time as this. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
