Scripture: Revelation 12:11
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” NKJV

Hello, my name is Abdallah Khoury, Pastor of the Church of God in Aboud, Palestine. This is my Cross Testimony of how the Lord has given me a Gift of communicating with Muslims, winning them over for Christ and discipling them.

I grew up in Nazareth, Israel the fifth of six children. My father was a farmer who died when I was four years old. My Mother worked in the textile industry and raised our family as a single mom while I was growing up. During my younger years I knew nothing about Christianity. My friends were all Muslims, but I never joined them in their religion.

When I was seventeen my sister invited me to an event at a Christian church. I was excited to attend, since there were many girls in attendance. From then on, I attended church looking for the girls and sleeping in the back during the services.

I was known for my exceptional football (soccer) skills and the Pastor knew who I was. He asked if I would help him coach the little children how to play soccer. That was the beginning of my involvement with the church.

Then a Pastor from America came and held a revival event for a week. As he was preaching it was as if he knew my life story. Every sermon held details of my life that I had told no one. Finally, I cried out to Jesus. What do you want from me?

There was an altar call — perhaps my answer would be there. I went forward. I felt nothing. I experienced nothing. I went home confused while questioning how this Pastor could know who I was and what my life was like?

Several months later I was helping my Pastor with soccer and we were traveling in a car. I asked him about my altar call experience and told him the questions that kept me awake at night. He answered everyone on my questions and asked me if I wanted to accept Jesus Christ as Lord of my life? I said YES!

I began my walk with the Lord. A few years later my younger brother died at age 24. He was in a car accident in Greenville, South Carolina.

WHY? WHY? WHY? I shouted at the Lord. Why Lord would you take him in the prime of his life when all he wanted to do was serve You? It was traumatic. The questions troubled me. I left the church and wandered away from Jesus.

Seven years later after walking in the wilderness I began my walk with the Lord again. I became an assistant Pastor. Soon after the Pastor suddenly died. It was time for me to step up for the Lord.

The Lord gave me the gift of communicating with Muslims and challenging them to accept Christ. My background with Muslim friends gave me insights into their lives no one else could know. I learned that most of them just claim to be Muslim for convenience. They do very little study but spent their time with repetitive prayers.

I learned to engage them in conversations while asking them specific questions about the Quran. Then challenging them to do research. In most cases they knew very little. When I read to them the contradictions in the Quran they said, “I never knew that” or “I didn’t know that” or “No one ever told me that.”

When they responded that way I was equipped with the word of God and ready with scripture to show them who Jesus Christ is and how much He loves them.

From my perspective, a Muslim is caught in an evil stronghold that suppresses them and does not allow for them to explore who they truly are. When I explain their identity through Jesus Christ their stronghold begins to crumble. In this process I challenge a Muslim in three areas which systematically tears down the walls holding them in their stronghold.

First Area: The origin of the Quran is inconsistent and has scrambled Biblical truths.

Second Area: The life of Mohammad was one of darkness, violence, impurity and death compared to the Light, Truth, Love, Hope and Faith in Jesus Christ.

Third Area: The talks or writings of Muhammad called Ahadeth are traditions and have no proof.

If you are placed in a situation to introduce Jesus Christ to a Muslim I pray you love them through this wonderful opportunity. I ask that through the Power of the Holy Spirit you can be the introduction that will set them free from the stronghold that is controlling their life.

My favorite Bible passage is the entire Book of Romans in the New Testament. If anyone wants to know who we are in Christ it is so well defined here.

To me the Cross of Jesus Christ is the Power of God. It’s the symbol of what Jesus did when He loved each of so much He gave His life for us.

This Cross planted today is a message to all who pass by. It is a message of the love of Jesus Christ that is open and welcomes everyone here. This is the way to the Light, Truth, Love, Hope and Faith in Jesus Christ. You can see pictures of Pastor Khoury and his Cross by Clicking Here

Prayer: Father thank you for breaking down every strong that prevents the lost from finding the Light, Truth, Love, Hope and Faith in Jesus Christ. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
