“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers” NKJV

Hello, I’m Apostle James Y. Komehof with Christ Liberation Center, Paynesville, Liberia. I grew up in Lufa County 200 miles north of the Capitol city of Monrovia. I am the oldest three children. My dad was a farmer and mom was known everywhere as a crazy woman when I was growing up. Mom’s father was a Muslim Traditional Wizard. He was steeped in witchcraft. My mom’s mom had 12 children — all girls. Eleven died by a curse placed on them from their dad who desperately wanted a valued male. His final curse was on my mom, but it did not kill her but caused mental illness. This is my Cross Testimony of how Jesus communicates with me and how our relationship has grown.

Mom’s craziness caused my dad to send me away to my uncle who was a Muslim. When I was 14 years old Jesus appeared to me in a dream. “He introduced Himself saying, I am the way, the Truth and the Life, follow me.” When I woke I asked, “Who is this man Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life?” I found my answer at an Assembly of God Church which is where I was Baptized.

I began studying the Bible to find out more. I joined the choir and learned the praise and worship songs. My voice was just the pitch they had been looking for and I worked my way up to lead singer. Then it was Bible School for me.

In 1990, as the Civil War was overtaking our country I graduated Bible School and became a preacher. I went to Guinea for two years as an assistant Pastor.

Then I met and married the love of my life, Miatta. We have 6 children. 4 Boys and 2 girls.

Then in 1995 tragedy struck. My Muslim roots caught up to me. Some Muslim men conjured up a wicked witchcraft potion using traditional medicine, which was thrown on my eyes. I was blind for six months when Jesus appeared to me again, in a vision. A vision for one who could not see, only the Lord can do that! He said very clearly, “There is a tree in front of you. Pick a leaf from the tree and wash your face and eyes with it and be healed. In one week I could see better than before I was blind.” The Muslims were frustrated that my God was stronger than theirs.

In 1996 in Guinea, the Muslims tried to harm me again. This time they set a trap using a witchcraft powder again using traditional medicine to paralyze me. The powder was spread on the ground and when I stepped on it my left leg collapsed and would not move. My left hand failed to open.

Christian brothers found me on the ground and through their prayers I was released from the curse put upon the powder. I saw the hand of Jesus raise me up. Once again, the Muslims were frustrated that their evilness was impotent when compared to Life with Jesus.

It was 1997 I returned to preaching and teaching in Liberia as an assistant Pastor.

Then in 2001 as my ministry for the Lord increased the Muslims once again tried to terminate my life. The Muslims placed a fever curse on me. I was rushed to the hospital unconscious. I could not speak to tell anyone what had happened. I died. For eight hours my body laid in preparation for what would be my burial.

Then I was standing outside my body looking down and I could see two spirits standing over me. One was trying to pull me one way into hell and another was trying to pull me the other way toward heaven. Then Jesus appeared dismissing both spirits. He once again spoke into my life. “I’m not through with you yet.” Then I returned to my body and shocked everyone when I sat up.

In 2010 I found that Muslims just won’t give up easily. A witch was embedded in our church to assassinate me. The sister prepared a special meal for me which I ate. I spent two weeks in the hospital and the doctors could not stop the outcome of the poison. Then I had a vision of the hand of Jesus reaching inside me and removing the poison. I awoke and left the hospital the next day.

In 2012 I had a conversation with Jesus in a dream. During our conversation I asked, “Lord, would it be appropriate for me to start a church?” Clearly, he responded with, “Yes.” Since that conversation we have opened 14 churches. Hence my title Apostle. We sense there will be many more as the Lord keeps opening the doors.

Then in 2014 the Ebola epidemic swept through Liberia. I was stricken. I inquired of the Lord what to do. He said, “Drink anointing oil and water.” That was it. Nothing more. I drank anointing oil and water for six months, June through November. All tests came back negative. To God be all the Glory!

My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28:11 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” NKJV

The Cross to me symbolizes the suffering of Jesus for us. He did it for me and He will do it for you. Do you accept Jesus as your personal Savior?

This Cross planted will point all who enter to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Father thank you for reaching down and touching lives for your Kingdom Purposes. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
